General Racing Rules Mirror Lake Yacht Club - General Racing Rules - March 23, 2009 1. Four (4) yachts racing constitutes a racing day. 2. Best 5 out of 6 races count each racing day. 3. Yacht must complete 4 races to receive a score. 4. Tie-breaker rules will be used as needed. (see below) 5. If the bow of the yacht is past the starting line, that yacht will be called for a mis-start. 6. Two skippers (or the race comm. member in charge) must call a yacht for missing a mark. 7. DNS, DNF, DSQ is scored as a last place finish for that race. 8. All races start into the wind. Exception may be match races. 9. All races finish at the flag pole. 10. Series winner(s) promoted to Gold status. 11. Yachts race in fleets if 11 or more yachts are racing. Separate scores shall be used for each fleet. 12. Series fleets shall have fast yachts placed at the top of each fleet for balance.
