The regular stated meeting of Chenango Chapter #135 was held in its rooms Wednesday evening, March 12, 2008 at 7:00 pm with WM Marjorie Sampson and WP Anthony Calisi presiding in the east.  The WM greeted 16 officers and members to “Wearin Of The Green” night.

            Chapter opened in short form.

On Role Call of Officers, the following were reported absent, Assoc Patron, Conductress, Assoc Conductress, 2 trustees, Assist Marshal, Historian, Sentinel, and the points of Esther and Martha.

The minutes of the previous meeting were not read for information.

Under sickness and distress and joy the following was reported:  We were happy to have WB Bob Holcomb with us.  He said  WS Jane is doing fairly well. The family joy is the coming of a new grandchild in August and the marriage of their son on May 31, 2008. A card was signed by all and sent to her.  S. Carol Sue Rosenkrantz is absent as she is caring for grandchildren while daughter is in the hospital battling an abcess.  WS Bonnie and B. Bob are absent as they are busy with new carpeting being installed in the restaurant.  The secretary learned over the weekend that WS Carol Ann Duntley was hospitalized in AZ with Pneumonia.  A card for her was signed by those present.   A card was signed for S. Peg Moxley.  We’re not sure of her medical problem as we have conflicting reports.  So our card at least let her know we are thinking of her.  Peg is in FL.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: The DDGM’s book project is ongoing and we are almost at our goal for the Greene School District.  RADA products are still available on line.  The WM has the GM’s special pin for sale.  Proceeds to go to the Arthritis foundation.  The Secretary announced she could use help for the Purple Club dinner since she would like to attend the Grand Matron’s visit in CST District and asked for volunteers.  The treasurer of Eastern Light Lodge has received our $50.00 for the Easter Egg Hunt.  We will be bagging candy tonight after our meeting.  The hunt is this Saturday.  Those helping will meet here at 8:00am.  The lodge has submitted a bill for LP Gas of $49.50.  We have authorized a check for one half, or $25.00.  Our official Visit has been changed to May 28.  Officers are encouraged to begin learning their parts.  It is also time for securing petitions for membership.

NEW BUSINESS:  Announced that WB Jose Valencia’s open Apron Presentation is on March 30 at 2:00 at Round Hill.  A dinner follows.  Our next meeting is March 26.  On a motion by the secretary, seconded by S. Teresa, seconded by WB Bob, the chapter voted to participate in this raffle.  The secretary will advise Adah Chapter.
