The minutes of the regular stated meeting of Chenango Chapter #135 opened on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 with Worthy Sister Marge and Worthy Brother Tony presiding in the East, with 12 members present. 

 

Notices: 

For our next meeting September 23, 2009, people are needed to peel apples in preparation for the Applefest in Greene.  On Thursday, people are needed to cook the apple dumplings, starting at 7:00 AM.  We need rolling pins and timers.

Set up on Friday between 5-6 PM at the Ball Flats.  Applefest on Saturday, please bring a hat or hairnet.

 

Draping the Altar is October 14th; dress is casual, but no jeans.

WS Marge wished a Happy Birthday to all those who celebrated their birthdays in July, August and September.

 

Sickness/Distress/Joy:  no information at this time.

 

BCC Stars Dinner will be October 25, 2009.  We need help from members with making dinner, serving, and cleaning up.  Thirty five to forty people will be present, and any donations for cakes or pies will be needed.  The menu will be roast beef/chicken and scalloped potatoes/au gratin. Snacks prior to dinner could be shrimp/cheese and crackers.  Wine will be needed.  Any donations please let Marge know #656-8067.  People can arrive at 1:30 with dinner at 2 PM.  Cooks should be at the Masonic Temple at 10AM All information will be given at our next meeting at October 14.

 

Round Hill Homecoming, on Main Street, Johnson City, Saturday, September 12, 2009.  Any people interested in attending, please talk to Marge.  Car pool will be leaving at 12:15 at the Masonic Temple, Greene.  Marge will be bringing a fruit tray; Toni and Linda will bring cheese and crackers trays. Thanks to everyone for your donations.

 

Grand Chapter begins on September 25.  Extra cards are needed, registration fee of $10 and credential cards will be given at our next meeting.  Bobbie Brundage discussed the Hospitality Room, where there will be snacks, a refrigerator and microwave.  The room will be open all the time from Friday at 5:30 through Monday.

 

A motion was made for Gift Certificates for Homecoming - $50.00  and $80.00 –  1^st by Shirley and 2^nd by Linda – Motion passed.

 

A Memorial Walk brick at the OES Home in Oriskany for Becky, Don, Dick and Jane, and another in honor of Carol Ann was discussed.  More information to follow.

 

Shirley Detweiler discussed the constitutional changes that we need to vote on.

The Chapter closed in good order.
