            The Regular Stated Meeting of Chenango Chapter No. 135 O. E. S. was held in its rooms Wednesday evening at 7:00 o’clock with W. Carol Rosenkrantz,  Matron and RW Larry Smith, WP presiding in the East following a bountiful covered dish supper.   Chapter opened in short form.  The WM greeted 23 officers, members and Master Masons.

            Courtesies of the East were extended to RW Bonnie Cobb, Assoc Grand Marshall of the Grand chapter of the State of the State of NY.

            The following Master Masons visiting a Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star for the first time were obligated by RW Larry Smith, WP:  Lee Moxley, grandson of S. Peggy Moxley and the Late Leland Moxley and Kyle Boeltz, grandson of S. Joan and Irv Crumb.

            On Role Call of Officers, the following were reported absent: Patron, Chaplain, RW Marion Calisi substituting, Sentinel, Musician, 3 trustees, Warder, RW Bonnie Cobb substituting and Assist Marshal.

            Under Sickness and Distress, the following was reported:   S. Claire is not feeling well tonight and a card will be sent to her.   RW Lou and W Betty are attending a Memorial Service tonight for a neighbor.

            UNFINISHED BUSINESS

• 10 attended the Official Visit at Trinity Star.  5 serving as officers
• We are still collecting items for Bingo Prizes at the Home
• We are collecting items for Pilgrimage Day
• There was a building clean up last Saturday and there will be another one scheduled soon
• RW Bobbie is collecting Recipes for the District Cook Book project
• W Betty needs help with quilt blocks
• The secretary has information on her desk to be picked up:
1. Pre Sale ChickenB-B-Q forms
2. Reservations for the B-B-Q at Pilgrimage Day
3. Constitution Change pages

• Still collecting IRS taxes
• Lottery tickets for the month of June – last chance
• Chapter picnic June 27 at S. Linda’s – 6:00 – bring dish to pass – car pool

NEW BUSINESS   First order of business is Honoring Master Masons.  The MM were asked to assemble in the West.  They introduced themselves and told their office.   Brother Vint Borst is the oldest MM in Eastern Light Lodge, serving as Master in 1964 and 1978..   The WM read an appropriate address to the MM and thanked them for coming tonight.    The chapter will be making a contribution to the Masonic Research Lab in honor of Eastern Light Lodge.   Brother Irv Crumb made note that our two youngest Master Masons are the Bobsy Twins and are the grandsons of the Crumbs and Moxleys.  Each MM received a Flag Pin

·         COMMUNICATIONS       Invitation to the homecoming of Nancy and Richard Simister, Cortland Madison District, on June 12 in Homer.   Entertainment at 7:30 and meeting at 8:00.

            The WM thanked her subs and the MMs for attending.    The WP encouraged the young MMs to get out and travel.   The two organizations have beautiful ceremonies. 

            The next meeting is June 13.  We will honor the Flag.  Wear your Red, White and Blue.  S. Secretary will be in the East with WB Dennis as patron.
