December 12, 2011, Committee Meeting Notes
Pack Management:

1) Fund Raisers
a. Publish list of outstanding collections to Den Leaders
b. Based on Treasurer information provided by Marisa, bump Program account at Scout Store back up to ~ $500

2) Recruitment / Re-charter
a. Publish list of outstanding collections to Den Leaders
b. Assemble “discrepancy” list for charter vs. reality and resolve them
c. Note for Pack leadership – always get a copy of any adult or youth application to Andrew at time of submission, do not count on getting “returned copy” from Council.

3) January Pack Meeting
a. District “camping presentation” – According to Ed, we are on the schedule for January 6
b. Belt loop stations? – Kick ball. Figure on splitting into an older (big gym) and younger (small gym) group for safety / fairness

4) Reminder – Bell Ringing at Tops (Friday, Dec 16th and Sunday, Dec 18th)
a. This is another community service item to be entered online (MyScouting.org) on behalf of the Pack – Tom and Cheryl to investigate

5) RMSC overnight (March 31st to April 1st)
a. $100 Deposit has been submitted (Tom)
b. Reservation has not been expanded yet
c. Keep signups moving via Dens
d. Scott to send reminder to the Pack distribution in time for January Pack meeting

6) YMCA overnight 2/11/12 7:00 pm to 2/12, 8:00 am.
a. Deposit of $50 has been placed toward $500 Fee (Scott)
b. Keep the signup moving at Pack Meetings and Den Meetings
c. Note - W2’s have conflict with Troop activity - W2 Leaders will work with Troop concerning options
d. $5 per head

7) Polar Panic, Bullis Park, January 28
a. Hosted by Pack 167
b. With an assist from Pack 113 – stay tuned for what this means
c. Note that the Klondike Derby (Boy Scouts) is the same time and location

8) Blue and Gold, February 3
a. Theme – Serving Your Country
b. Entertainment – Buffalo Soldiers? – probably what we will go with, Scott to get more information
c. Dens to make center pieces and/or placemats
d. Dens to plan skit or song
e. Tom to talk to Towpath Volunteers on availability
f. Make a point of recognizing veterans, first responders, and other civic-minded volunteers

9) Tom to get (15) more Sibling cars for Derby

10) Class B’s estimated at 5:50 per shirt
a. Tom to get previous order quantities from Steve
b. Get order form assembled for January Pack Meeting (siblings and adults)

Round Table / District / Council Events:

1) Harlem Globetrotters, Saturday, Feb 4th, 2012, 2:00pm. See flyer.

2) Rochester Lancers Scout Night, Monday, January 2nd, 1:00 pm, $8 per ticket for anyone over 12 (12 and under are free!)

3) OKPIK Winter Adventure, Massawepie, January 13-15, Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. (Adult winter camping training.) $80 per person.

4) Wood Badge 2012, April 27-29 and May19-21, 2012, Camp Babcock-Hovey

5)

Walk-in items:

1) Crossover – suggested to create a slide show (and consider other entertainment options) to amuse the herd after the ceremony

2) Single-serve ice cream was suggested as a snack for possibly the January Pack Meeting or Crossover

3)

4) Long Range:

1) Beth has information on Roses for Mother’s Day fund raiser

2) Consider a bike-a-thon fundraiser (for pack or as a community service)
