CONFIRMATION CAMP 2010
July 4-10

It's time to sign up for CONFIRMATION CAMP! You can register right online. Be sure to sign up for the correct camp week: Lutheran Confirmation Conference. Camp Fowler is a beautiful place, and contrary to what you may have experienced with camp food....the meals at Camp Fowler are FANTASTIC! It's a wonderful week of of friendship, canoeing, worship, hiking, learning, swimming, crafts, singing, team-building games, free-time, camp fires and more. The pastors and counselors are second-to-none! Check a few pictures from last year's Confirmation Camp by clicking on the link in the left side-bar of this page.

If you have any questions, just e-mail me at jtkkbc@nycap.rr.com. I've been to camp, so I can tell you more about it. Or I can put you in contact with another Prince of Peace student who has been to Camp Fowler....they'll give you the scoop.

If finances are a concern, please talk to Pastor Jeff...the church may be able to offer some assistance to get you to camp!

Confirmation Commandments
I am not the Lord your God and did not bring you out of slavery into the freedom of the promised land. But I do hope to walk with you through the learning, serving, growing, and having fun that marks a great confirmation ministry. In order to help me I have certain expectations -

1. That you come to confirmation class. We meet virtually every Wednesday evening from now to the end of the school year. If we are going to skip a week we will let you know in advance. If we cancel because of weather we will call you. Otherwise try to be here.

2. That you respect the leaders and participate to the best of your ability. Engage in games, worship, reading and discussion. Put away the cell phones and other distractions. Obey the directions of the leaders.

3. That you will worship on a regular basis. Come to church. There are 2 services on Sunday morning and 1 on Sunday evening. We don't take attendance for worship but to keep you accountable you are expected to do at least 1 sermon review per month. You can print a form below.

4. That you will serve as an acolyte about once per month.

5. That if you are given written work that you will complete and return it.

While we won't be officially scheduling acolytes during the summer, we can still use some help! When you arrive for a service on Sunday, please check with the deacon to see if they need an Acolyte that morning. It is SO much appreciated!

Regular Confirmation classes are over for the year. Check back here when classes resume to sign up for snack!
