Penny War For Project Linus?

If you would like to throw in your two cents, Project Linus will gladly take it! Our chapter always has needs and monetary donations are most appreciated. The needs always seem to exceed our donations. Many corporations, schools, classrooms and churches etc. look for ways to donate back to the community.

How about a Penny War?

Here's how it works: Each team (grade, classroom, company department, Sunday school group, etc.) has a container placed in a very visible area for a designated period of time. For every penny that is placed in a particular container that team will get one point. For everything other than a penny, you will be (Continued next column) deducted the amount of that money. For example, if a nickel is placed in your container 5 points will come off of your total. A dime would be 10 points lost and a dollar would be minus 100pts! You can see that it will benefit your team to put pennies into your container and dollar bills and spare "silver" change into the container of the other group. The $$ are counted to determine the winner. What does the winning team get? You can make things interesting. The loser makes lunch or does a service for the winning team etc. and of course, Project Linus is the big winner in the end.

Then let the Penny War begin!

Kids Helping Kids

Kids Helping Kids is a program that any group can help. Church groups, schools and scouts have participated. We provide squares of muslin for pictures to be drawn on them & colored and then ironed. All we ask is that you help us by purchasing muslin to replace our supply. After the squares are colored and ironed they are ready to be (continued next column)

placed in a blanket.  We package the squares into kits that our volunteers can then turn into blankets. Either way a child receives a much-needed blanket.

Do you belong to a group that would like to participate or can you help by turning these wonderful blocks into a blanket??

Please contact the chapter coordinator.

Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding & fun service opportunity for interested individuals & groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
