Gas (nitro) Remote control Cars/Trucks
This Section Talks about the ups and downs of gas (nitro) remote controlled cars. To get started Nitro rc cars have their good and bad sides. With many companys developing a wide range of nitro vehicles lately more rc enthusiasts tend to pick gas (nitro) over electric vehicles. Nitro cars and trucks have the noise and outragous speed that thrills enthusiasts. They are most often picked by more experienced racers or "back yard bashers". Beginners might want to start off with the "ultra quite" electric cars because they are overall "easier" to work on and fix. There is usually two types of nitro rc cars, kits (which dont come with a radio and you have to build them), and RTR (already factory built and are ready to race within minutes of opening box). More experienced drivers buy kits because they want their own choice of radio and other equipment that is needed. Now for the downsides. Nitro cars are messier, which is because of the oil and fuel that is used. Nitro cars tend to cost more than your average electric car or truck. When a nitro vehicles get damaged, it takes more of an experienced enthsiast to repair it. But, overall, with the high prices and messy work, nitro vehicles give you the noise, speed, and thrill that is well worth cost.
 Electric Remote control Cars/Trucks
Now for electric cars and trucks. They, also have their pros and cons. They are virtually "mess free" which means that there is no fuel or oil to be handled. They are quite, this can be good or bad. They have rechargable bettery packs which can be charged over and over again without the cost of nitro fuel. Electric cars and trucks are easier to maintain, having no engine to tune. Beginners should probably start off with the less fast, electric cars because they are a good way to get started in thw world of R/C. The cons about electric cars are; they are noticeably slower than nitro cars and trucks. they dont deliver as much excitement than nitro cars to more experienced enthusiasts. In the end, with the lower cost and lower maintainence of electric cars, it is your choice of what to get into the R/C world with.
