Three for Me
The ProgramWe all deal with the same group of parents doing all of the work. You can count on them, they make themselves available, and they accomplish the work that we ask. But what about the other hundreds of parents that never volunteer in the classroom, at an event, or have never stopped in for lunch with their child? Their only experiences at the school have been a parent/teacher conference or disciplinary issue, or attending an after school event. And let’s talk about dads. How often have you seen a dad in the building volunteering? Tackling these issues are tough. That’s how the Three for Me program originated.
Our MissionThe mission of Three for Me is to improve the well-being of children by inspiring and equipping parents/families to be effectively involved in their children’s education. In response to a lack of parent involvement in schools nationwide, Three for Me was founded in 2003 by Dee Keywood and Kris Thompson to challenge parents to volunteer in schools, be active in school-decision making and provide resources to motivate parents to be actively involved in their child’s education. Our Purpose
