Volunteers are the heart of the Samaritans. Volunteers answer the hotline, provide outreach to survivors,
organize events, and educate in the community. Volunteers gain valuable experience while they are giving
back to the community. Samaritans is looking for committed and caring individuals who are willing to listen
when others need it most. Volunteer training begins every two months.

No previous experience or educational background is necessary, only a willingness to help others and an ability to be responsible and reliable. Samaritans training is challenging and teaches volunteers the skills necessary to work on the phones.

Call 518-462-6531 ext 126 or email jordonez@fcscapitalregion.org for more information.
