Register now for Samaritans Remembrance Ceremony for Suicide Survivors. Registration closes on Friday, November 14, 2008.

Surviving the suicide of a loved one or friend may be one of the most painful and challenging experiences of a lifetime.
“Survivors,” or someone who has lost a loved-one or friend to suicide, may experience painful feelings such as guilt,
anger, regret and self-doubt. Survivors report that they find the most support by speaking with other survivors because
loss to suicide is so unique. Samaritans matches grieving families with experienced Samaritans volunteers and staff who
have suffered a similar loss to suicide.

Samaritans offers several options to support the ever-growing pool
of people affected by suicide in the Greater Capital Region:

  • Survivor Support Groups,
  • Survivor Outreach,
  • The Annual Remembrance Ceremony on Survivor's Day.

To access these services please call Jill Ordonez, Program Director, at 462-6531 ext 126 or email at jordonez@fcscapitalregion.org
