One method for preventing suicide is to educate people
in the community about the warning signs and risk factors of
suicide. Once these “Gatekeepers” are aware of what to look for,
they are better able to identify someone who may be considering
suicide and refer them for professional help.

Samaritans is available to educate any business, organization or civic group on:
  • Myths and facts of suicide

  • Warning signs for suicide

  • Risk and protective factors for suicide

  • How to help someone who may be thinking about suicide.

To request an educational presentation, please call Jill Ordonez, Program Director at 462-6531 ext 126 or email at jordonez@fcscapitalregion.org
