Join The Sunrise Detachment Today
The Sunrise Detachment has been serving Marines since 1956. With a membership of over 300 , we have a cross section of the Marine Corps experience. Marines from World War II, Korea, Beirut, Vietnam, and all periods in between, proudly stand shoulder to shoulder in support of Marines and Veterans and their families.
The Sunrise Detachment meets the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month. The Bar and Ship's Stores open at 1945 meeting nights, and the meeting is called to order at 2030.
Our Members consist of a very special breed of person. In most Military Services, you can be all that you can be. But the Members of this Club who joined the Marines found themselves being more than they ever thought possible.
Both Marines and the Fleet Marine Force Corpsman who wore the Eagle, Globe and Anchor have a very special bond and loyalty to one another that even we find hard to explain. Although we find it hard to explain, it comes quite natural.

If you've been looking for somewhere to obtain your dress blue trousers, NCO's trouser stripe and short sleeve uniform shirts, your search is over! The Camp Lejeune Uniform Sales Shop has what you're looking for.
Call 1 (888) 267-3559 (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Identify yourself as a former Marine and they will fill your order. They can handle all transactions over the phone as long as you have a valid credit card.
Dress Blue Trousers cost $31.75, Short Sleeve Uniform Shirts cost $19.65 and the NCO Trouser Stripe costs $2.85. Shipping costs are extra.
The detachment gets several requests for Color Guards throughout the year and for quite a while the same detachment members have been carrying the weight of those Color Guards. We need more members to step up and volunteer for these Color Guard requests. So if it's within your means, why not order these uniform items so you can help out when the need arises. It's yet another way you can support your detachment!

Did you know… This past March, 2008, was the 90th birthday of our Women Marines? Opha Mae Johnson and 304 other women changed the face of the Marine Corps forever. It was 1918, WWI was raging in Europe when these women enlisted in the Marine Corps. They train at Parris Island, not at the Disneyland place in California. Make up and etiquette classes were the norm in days of old, but now the training standards are the same as the men.

To become a Life Member, you must be a Regular Member in Good Standing. That means becoming a member and paying your initial dues first. Yes, according to the Bylaws, you could join the League, pay your dues and then pay your Life Membership Dues all in the same day
