First, a little about The Real Linda television show. The Real Linda purposes, goals, hopes and dreams are as follows:

Mission Statement

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded". [Ralph Waldo Emerson]

These are our main goals, along with our added purpose of standing strong in our faith, true to our values and respectable in television. The Real Linda is a clean television show that almost anyone would enjoy watching.

**********

Our purpose is to remind everyone where real riches are, and where real poverty begins and ends.

Quote:

"A greater poverty, than that caused by lack of money, is the poverty of unawareness. Men and women go about the world unaware of the beauty, the goodness, the glories in it. Their souls are poor. It is better to have a poor pocketbook than to suffer from a pour soul".
Thomas Drier

About the Automobile accident: While stopped at a red light in Brooklyn, New York, an SUV-type vehicle hit into the car, twice, causing severe injuries and causing great damage to the automobile.

Just for the record, the executive producer of the show is still recovering from a serious car accident. She was stopped at a red light in the city, and a large SUV-type vehicle plowed into her car --not once but twice. Serious injuries resulted from this accident and she first came back to the studio to do more studio shows after being absent for about six months or so. Though she is still injured and though she still suffers from daily pain, and other symptoms from the car accident, she continues to produce The Real Linda television show which airs on Time Warner and on Cablevision in New York City.

**********

CAR ACCIDENT ADVICE:

She offers this bit of advice to all drivers: When in any car accident, never immediately remove your seatbelt, as there might be a "second" hit. She was hit at a red light, not once but twice. The car crashed into her vehicle, and then a few seconds later, crashed into her vehicle again, a second time. Thanks to God, she had not removed her seatbelt after the first hit, and she was protected from going through the windshield from the second hit -only seconds after the first crash.

Help on The Real Linda show

We are currently seeking more producers for future shows.

Qualifications:
If you have taken the course at the studio and you graduated, you are most likely a great candidate to help on The Real Linda show. Ideal producers must have BCAT certification that is current, (no official suspensions in the past six months. If you need a show to add to your qualification for the year, contact us as soon as possible. If you want to help on our studio shows, you need to be certified in studio. If you want to help on our field/remote shows, you need to be certified in field/remote. You do not need both. Ideal producers believe in teamwork, and believe in working in a stress-free environment where everyone respects everyone. Producers must be in good standing (not suspended), and must be willing to work in a pleasant, stress-free environment during the taping of The Real Linda television show. All new producers and seasoned producers are welcome to contact us at any time by email.

Yes, if you just recently graduated and completed your coursework in field/remote and or studio production at BCAT, you are welcome to work with us on The Real Linda show. You do not have to have your own show in order to help us out on The Real Linda; all you need is certification (graduation) and a friendly personality. Producers who work on The Real Linda show are both seasoned professionals and brand new producers, and those who have been around for a while. We have producers who have been doing shows for twenty years and others who are just beginning this year or last year. This mix makes The Real Linda show a pleasant place to work on shows that will be aired on Time Warner and on Cablevision in New York City.

The Real Linda show is a clean show, "g-rated" for the general public. If we air anything controversial, you will hear a disclaimer in the beginning of the show, but even our "controversial" topics are handled with care, respect, truth, values, and an aim to keep the show clean at all costs.

Aside from and in addition to our regular weekly shows, we are presently seeking producers for a special series of shows that will air in 2009. Ask about this process and about this series. If you are want to help on our special series of shows about preventing domestic violence or shows about health care, hospitals and nursing homes, or shows about consumer advocacy, safety and security, contact us as soon as possible. Thank you for visiting our website.

Volunteering for field/remote shows on The Real Linda show:

The Real Linda remote/field/travel shows:

Our past field shows took us to Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, Kentucky. We accidentally wound up in Michigan, but since have GPS (navigation program), so for future field trips, we go straight to our destination and back.

If you have not volunteered on four of our studio shows this year, we cannot accept you on any of our "out of New York State" field/remote shows.

All new producers, and most, seasoned, certified, remote producers are welcome to volunteer on our Brooklyn and Queens field productions. Give us advance notice, use the contact form at the bottom of our contact page.

Volunteering on The Real Linda studio shows:

Though The Real Linda show is aired weekly on Time Warner and on Cablevision on Saturdays at 12:30 PM, we tape only once a month in the studio. If you have missed the taping for this month, be sure to contact us if you want to volunteer for next month's shows. See the rest of this website for more detailed information on volunteering for studio shows of The Real Linda show.
