How We Came To Be Called Terrific Tootsies
Tootsie was the nickname given to my mother, Claire, by her mother. When I was thinking of a name for my Red Hat Chapter, my sister (now known as Lady Link) suggested we call ourselves the Tootsies. My mom had died the previous year and we thought it would be a fitting tribute to name the chapter after her. She was a pretty terrific woman and so we became the Terrific Tootsies!
