![]() MY TESTIMONY
I am Brother Steve J. Arcega a missionary from the Philippines to the Filipinos.
I was born on August 6, 1968. My dad died when I was two years old. Before I got saved all of the members of my family were active in The Roman Catholic Church. In fact my mom was a fanatic religious leader of the Marian (strong followers of Mary) group at that time. I came to know the Lord as my personal Savior when I was 15 years old.
A missionary came to our place and shared with me the glorious message of salvation and how to be saved. After I accepted Christ as my Saviour, I followed the Lord in believers baptism and became the first baptized member of our church (The Victory Baptist Church). Shortly after, my mom became a believer, because I shared with her the true gospel. All my brothers and sisters also have been saved. Following my conversion, God burdened my heart to share the true gospel with fellow Filipinos, so I surrendered my life as a full-time volunteer worker of our church. After one year, the church voted to have me as a youth pastor. I was 16 years old at that time. After four years of being a youth pastor, I felt the calling of God in another area of ministry. Therefore, I decided to enroll in the Bible College in Tarlac, Philippines for further training. Although I did not have the money at that time, I did have faith and confidence in God that He would provide my needs because I believed, “where God guides, He provides.” During my first year in the Bible College, the school offered a scholarship program, and by God’s grace I passed the scholarship examination. During my first year in the college, the Lord gave me an opportunity to start a new mission work. I would go to the mission Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then back to the college from Monday to Thursday. I thank the Lord because after four years of schooling, On April 7, 1992, I was able to finish my B.A. in Theology through the scholarship program. Praise the Lord! After my graduation, I was asked by the College to teach once a week while still working with the mission. One year after I graduated the Lord gave me a wonderful lady to be my wife and my lifetime partner, Lea. The Lord blessed Lea and I with four children. We continued in mission works and teaching in the College for 14 years, and have now been in full time missionary work for a total of 20 years. I am now pastor of a church which is my third missionary work, doing what God wants me to do in the Lord’s vineyard: winning lost souls, starting churches and training the nationals. My family and I are praying that the Lord will give us partners in the mission field for the furtherance of the Gospel. Our people are so receptive and hungry for the word of God. Our country’s population is 87 million people and 85% are Roman Catholic. The harvest is truly great and plenteous. Yes we have only one life to live in this world and only what was done for Christ will last, because we know that the Lord may come at any moment and no work for Him will be in vain; let us keep on, keeping on till He comes.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:19-21
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.",
Matthew 9:36-38
And "I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."
Ezekiel 22:30,
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 1:8
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
James 4:14;
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

The Romans Road
…is a pathway you can walk. It is a collection of verses from the Book of Romans in the New Testament of the Bible. If you walk down this road, you will understand how to be saved, and experience eternal life. Read the verses below, read their meaning, and heed the call to turn your life over to Jesus Christ. You will be saved from death and brought into eternal life.
Ready to begin?
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. We all have sin in our hearts. We all were born with sin. We were born under the power of sin's control. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
- Admit that you are a sinner.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Sin has an ending. It results in death. We all face physical death, but a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity. The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire where lost people will be in torment forever. It is the place where people who are spiritually dead will remain. - Understand that you deserve death for your sin.
Romans 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
When Jesus died on the cross He paid sin's penalty. He paid the price for all sin, and when He took all the sins of the world on Himself on the cross, He bought us out of slavery to sin and death! The only condition is that we believe in Him and what He has done for us,understanding that we are now joined with Him, and that He is our life. He did all this because He loved us and gave Himself for us!
- Salvation is a free gift from God to you!
You can not earn this gift, you can not buy it, you must call out and receive it. |
Ask God to forgive you and save you.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved.
