Anthony Sims Davenport

In the Fall of 1778 enlisted for 3 months as Corporal and Sergeant in Capt. John Lyle's Company, Col. George Scott's Virginia Regiment and went on expedition against Indians and helped to build Forts McIntosh and Laurens. Also served 3 months in 1781 as Sergeant in Capt. James Eaton's Virginia Company and guarded prisoners at Winchester, Virginia.
