Ascendo is a Latin term that means “Rise Up or Ascend.” This program provides academic support and strategies for achieving at high levels. Tutors are available for subject specific homework help. There are also seminars scheduled throughout the school year to address topics such as test-taking skills, essay writing and time management.

The program will take place Mondays in Room 353 from 2:45 to 3:45 P.M., Wednesdays in Room 253 from 2:45 to 3:45 P.M., and Thursdays in the Library from 2:40 until 3:30 P.M. There is a late bus which runs a very long route in an effort to transport children staying for after-school programs. Information regarding the route of this bus may be acquired from the Main Office. For additional information and a registration form, download this file.

NOTE: The Writing Center is a great place to get help with writing your essay. They will help at all stages of the writing process. Hours: Wednesdays and Fridays 7:30-2:30 and Thursdays 7:30-3:30. You can also visit during Study Hall or on your own time at lunch or after school, but make an appointment first. If you choose, you can drop off your paper and it will usually be available for pick-up within 48 hrs.
