Many years ago a newspaper reported about two men and a boy that were found dead in the desert of Death Valley, California. Interestingly, sheriff's deputies found the bodies seven, fourteen and eighteen miles from their abandoned car. The deputies surmised the car had ran out of and the three had attempted to walk back to a frm house they had passed some thirty miles back.
Now some of you have probably already figured out the terrible irony of the story. All three died before reaching their destination. Tragic? Of course, but the truly sad part was that these three people all walked in the wrong direction. For you see, there was a grove of trees and a spring of refreshing cool water just one mile in the opposite direction.
That is a sad story of people going in a way they sincerly thought was right, only to realize in the end it was totally wrong. In the same sense, there are millions of people around the world who sincerly believe in evolution. Evolution is the belief that life began billions of years ago and slowly evolved over a very long period of time. And the evolutionary mindset permeates every aspect of our society and culture. But the sad irony is that evolution is an unproven theory, based on faulty science, despite the fact it is believed by many. Evolution, in essence is a religion, based in a preconceived religious philosophy. Now evolutionists are quick to express their bias by stating that creationism is a religion because it comes from the Bible, while adamently stating their belief is based entirely on science.
It is interesting to note that Webster's Dictionary defines refligion as "a cause, principle or system of beliefs held on to with devotion and faith." With that deinition in mind, consider the words of Theodosius Dobzhansky, the famous Russian evolutionist, "Evolution is a light which illuminates all facts, a trajectory which all lines of thought must follow."
The Bible categorically states twice in the Book of Proverbs, "There is a way that seemeth righ unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12, 16:25). Evolution is a lie. Make sure what you believe is true because your eternity may depend on it. Think about it. Great is our Creator God.
