It's not to late to get your OSU/MI carnations!Sales will continue Monday, November 17 and Tuesday, November 18. Carnations will be delivery on Friday, November 21.Byrnedale will be selling dress down passes for use on Wednesday, November 26 all the proceeds will benefit the Harvard Elementary School family involved in the October 20 fatal car accident.
It's never to late to become a member of PTO. Membership is $5.00. PRESIDENT'S COLUMN
November 26th will be a dress down day with all funds raised being donated to the Harvard Memorial Fund to benefit the family involved in the October 20th fatal car accident. Passes will be available for sale for $1 but larger donations are welcome.
January 15th will be a FUNdraiser at Max & Erma's Restaurant on Dussell Drive. Flyers can be downloaded from our website and will also be sent home with students shortly before the event. Please spread the word and feel free to pass out flyers to friends and family. Byrnedale PTO will receive 20% of each bill when the coupon is presented. DO NOT pass out flyers at Max & Erma's however, we will lose our entire donation if this is done. You are welcome however to pass them out at work, church, meetings or other gatherings you may be attending. Our FUNdraiser is valid for meals purchased throughout the day so stop in for lunch, dinner or both.
As PTO President I am trying very hard to make our meetings interesting to parents. I would like to thank Mr. John Foley for coming to our October meeting to discuss the Levies that were on the ballot on November 4th. I would also like to thank Ms. Karen Sanders for coming to our November meeting to discuss the Olweus Bullying Program and Student Mediation. Mrs. Karen Gray and all other staff members that attend also deserve huge thanks for taking time out their evenings to be present at our meetings and to share information they have about what's going on at our school.
We do not have a confirmed speaker for January yet, but I am focusing on what parents need to know to keep their kids safe. I am trying to find a speaker to come in and discuss the dangers that face our children in both school and society. Their safety is our top concern and information is empowering. We hope you will join us for this very important meeting on Tuesday, January 13th at 6:30 pm in the Media Center.

Thank you so much to all who have volunteered this year! And thank you for supporting Toledo Public Schools on Election Day!
Our Halloween Dance was a huge success! The students had a great time, the music was fabulous and we had absolutely no problems. In fact, it went so well that we've already scheduled another dance. Mark your calendars for March 20.
On November 21 we will be delivering OSU/MI carnations to home base. If you haven't purchased one yet for a friend or rival, they will be on sale through November 18th during the lunch periods.
