The Paperwork is done. We be a-ficcial !!!
Please note that the website address comes up as crew 174 That was the original designation. Due to the changes we needed to make we ended up choosing 1865 (officially Venture Crew 865.)
AUDITIONS ARE Now January 22 & 23 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. SO GET BUSY PRACTICING AND WATCH THIS SPACE AND THE THE WORTHINGTON SCOUTS PAGE FOR THE UPDATE.
We began organizing the Ohio Village Crew 1865 as of this date. Paperwork is taken care of. Not much to add yet but soon. Boy Scouts, Explorers, Girl Scouts, Campfire girls, 4-H, and teens 14 years or older teens who are or Who are not involved in Scouting are able to join. Scouts can continue with their Boy or Girl Scout units and still be in the Venture crew. We have added a Junior members group to allow for siblings and tag-a-longs. More details later.
Scouting Orchestra & Choir: Greetings, Fellow, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Venture Crews, Explorers, Varsity, Leaders, Parents, and Siblings. We are seeking voices for the Scouting Orchestra and Choir. We will be holding open group auditions for both the Scouting orchestra and choir at 6-9pm on : TBD :. Auditions will be held at St. John Chrysostom's church hall located at 5858 Cleveland Ave, Cols, OH 43231( 161 & Cleveland). We need to find out how many of you are interested in joining with us. The Orchestra and Choir will perform in various Festivals, 4th of July’s, Worthington on the green, Ohio Village/Museum, Christmas shows, and our own Scouting Revue, “ 100 years of Broadway,” which we hope to make an annual event. We invite you to come and join us if you love to sing or play an instrument. Our rehearsal schedule is being put together and details are dependent on how large a group we are. The Schedule will change according to our needs and more rehearsals will be added as needed. Please feel free to contact us (Mic O'Halloran - Chris Morris) for more information. For the group auditions, choir or orchestra, you will sing and play and we will figure out where you are musically. There are no solo auditions, just play or sing as a group. There are some outside performances being scheduled at this moment and we will let you know when and where they are. We have a temporary website for communicating with each other. A permanent site is being created.
A small change to our mission goal
We will also function as the Village crew for Ohio Village.
We will be involved with different programs in the village as well as helping out with maintenace and projects. We will also assist the Lincoln Theatre & Light opera house with their gypsy productions (possibly at Sharon Woods school) as well as the occasional project at St John Chrysostom Church on Cleveland & 161 aves. We have received a request from a director to allow them to mount a production of " A Norman Rockwell Christmas." in 2007. This would be a professional production. More very shortly.
