

Mission Statement
"The purpose of the East High School Alumni Association is to provide scholarships for college bound seniors of East High School. The Association provides financial and human resource assistance to students and programs of East High School, where feasible. The Association receives and disburses funds from annual membership dues, bequests, gifts, grants, individuals, firms, corporations, and other organizations. Any person who has graduated from East High School, attended East High School, or otherwise supports the purpose of the Association shall be eligible for membership in the Association."

No matter what type of software you have on your PC, you can now have our printable Scholarship Application!! Just click on the following link and download the printer-friendly Adobe file. If you are prompted to load the Adobe Acrobat Reader, please do - it's harmless, it's free, and takes up very little space on your computer. If you're on a public library computer, they likely already have the Adobe Reader installed. The application must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered, and all criteria must be met. THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA WILL BE USED IN SELECTION OF THE RECIPIENT(S)
A minimum of one (1) scholarship will be awarded annually
The amount of the scholarship will be determined by the scholarship committee using available funds as a guide
The scholarship will be distributed directly to the institution (school)
The recipient must be a graduating student of East High School
The recipient must maintain a G.P.A. of at least 2.5
The recipient must maintain attendance within a 90-95% range (taking into account any extenuating circumstances that would preclude attaining that attendance range)
The recipient must complete the scholarship application by the deadline date
The recipient must demonstrate financial need
The recipient must provide proof of application to an approved institution of higher learning
The recipient must supply the Scholarship Committee with two (2) character references (excluding relatives)
The recipient must submit a written essay or statement stating reasons he/she should be awarded the scholarship in 500 words or less
Each recipient shall be subject to a personal interview by East High School Alumni Association Scholarship Committee member(s)
