CONGRATS

Treasurer: Amar Sidhu is our new Treasurer. Thanks Amar!

 

New Baby! Kim Evec had a new baby girl. Aubrie Grace was born on April 21 @ 8:15 am, 7lbs, 11oz. Congrats Kim!

 

Charity! Congrats go to Team HOWA! We walked for the March of Babies on April 27th and raised $690 towards research and education of premature babies. Go team!

 

Seeking New Officers:

If anyone is interested, we are seeking help with the children’s Play Group. We also need someone to be our Secretary to help coordinate activities. If you are interested in either of these positions, please email ginaslowe@gmail.com or GigiIlkay@aol.com.

2008 Parade the Circle

June: Parade the Circle
Saturday, June 14, 2008
This interactive community arts event features The Cleveland Museum of Art’s vibrant, one-of-a-kind parade and UCI’s Circle Village. Professional and amateur artists work up to six weeks before Parade the Circle to create unique costumes and human-powered floats for the festivities. Main stage performances and hands-on activities provided by more than 20 cultural institutions accompany the parade in Circle Village.

 

June - August: WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays
June 18 - August 27, 2008
WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays, UCI’s free summer concert series, presents an array of top musical entertainment with genres ranging from jazz to reggae to Beatles hits.

Family Fun Fest

Where: Lake Erie Nature & Science Center(28728 Wolf Road, Bay Village, OH 44140, 440-871-2900)
When: Sunday, Jun 1, 2008, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Live animal and planetarium shows, carnival games, bounce house, crafts, Radio Disney, food and the Great Duck Race combine for the perfect way to kick off your family's summer.

Zoo Monday:

The weather is getting warmer. Don’t forget that the Zoo is free to the Cuyahoga residents on Mondays. Just bring your ID.

 

Would you like to coordinate the HOWA Playgroup for a trip to the zoo? Contact Gina or Gigi if you’d like to lead the PlayGroup in May.

 

Baby & Me:

(For New Moms)

Baby & Me (birth to one year) at Heights Parent Center. A great way to connect with other new moms, find playgroups, etc. There are other events that cost little for kids older than 1yr., including a toy lending library See their website @  http://www.heightsparentcenter.org

 

Baby Bop/Waddlers/Young and the Restless:

There are also free story time/activities at Heights Libraries for those not walking (Baby Bop), those walking under age two (Waddlers) and those walking age 2 to 3 ½ (The Young and the Restless). Go to the events calendar at www.heightslibrary.org.
