adults alike will delight in touring the inter-active, secret inventing lab of
Kris Kringle, the toymaker Extraordinaire”! Kringle’s Iventionasium is free to
tour. Visits with Kris Kringle are also free. Charges apply to photos with Mr.
Kringle and the Invent-A-Toy activity. Kringle’s also features a gift shop of

ACTIVITIES and EVENTS: The
holidays in Cleveland are full of lights, snow, and special events such as the
lighting at Public Square, the "Nutcracker," and the annual
"Christmas Carol" presentation. Check out some fun ideas: Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens Winter Wonderland Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens
transforms itself each holiday season into a winter wonderland. Stan Hywet’s annual holiday
evening event is Deck The Hall, November 19-December 30. Traditional
Christmas decorations will fill The Manor House, with a special Seiberling
Christmas exhibit in the Great Hall. Special musical entertainment from area
choirs and music groups will be featured on Sunday and Tuesday evenings.
Outside, the gardens and grounds will be decorated in a winter wonderland of
lights. Also, the Happy Trails Cuddle Barn, is where children may
pet sheep and goats. For more info go to: www.stanhywet.org WinterFest - Tree Lighting at Public
Square WinterFest
is the annual holiday celebration in Cleveland's Public Square. Held the
weekend after Thanksgiving each year, the evening of music, dance, and hot
chocolate culminates in the lighting of the unique holiday light displays in
each quadrant of the square and the Christmas tree in front of Tower City. Over
50,000 people attend the event each year. The light display is kept up until
after New Year's Day. The event is FREE and is usually televised.

in your neighborhood.
Cleveland Playhouse Festival of Trees:
November 23-January 3 Each year, the Cleveland Play House adorns its halls with
over 70 professionally-decorated holiday trees, of all shapes and sizes. The
show lasts from late November through New Year's Eve. Admission is free.

Wonderland: November 21-January 3 The Cleveland Botanical Garden hosts an annual
Gingerbread House Competition as part of their annual winter holiday
festivities. For the 2009 holiday season, the Cleveland Botanical Garden will
feature the rink on Wade Oval. Come enjoy: outdoor skating on Wade Oval, Holiday
Display at the Rockefeller Greenhouse Each
holiday season the Cleveland Greenhouse, just north of University Circle, transforms itself into a
holiday wonderland with hundreds of red, white, and pink Poinsettias and other
Christmas flowering plants. December through January, admission is free. The Nutcracker: Though the Cleveland Ballet is
no longer with us, guest companies traditionally perform this holiday favorite

216 771-8403 or 800 352-0212. Northeast Ohio Sleigh Rides: Nothing
is as romantic as a winter sleigh ride through Northeast Ohio snow-covered
fields. A number of farms and attractions offer such rides. Find out more about
