 Scholastic Reading Challenge
Leroy has been challenged by Scholastic Books to read 100,000 minutes during this school year. We know we can do that, so we are going to up the challenge to read 1,000,000 minutes! To participate, please go to www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/minutes and sign your child up by clicking on the green "sign-up" button under "Register for read 100,000." Follow the instructions to register your child. It will take about a week for the account to activate. In a week, return to the website, log in, and record the minutes your child has read under the user that you chose. You can record the minutes that your child has previously read as long as it has been during this school year. Scholastic keeps a running tally of minutes. We will hang a progress graph up at the school so everyone can see the total minutes read. Teachers will log in reading minutes done at the school. When we reach 1,000,000 minutes, we will celebrate with something special! If you have any questions, please email Betsy Hensel at leroyreads@yahoo.com. Thank you and Have Fun Reading!!!

 
Box Tops News
 
Happy New Year from Box Tops! Coffee cans with prizes on each can are located in the main lobby hallway. Prizes include coloring books, journal and stationary set, Hulk and Iron Man puzzles, Cinderella diary and nail polish/lip gloss and notepad. Send in the Box Tops with your child's name and teach on the back of each Box Top, Tyson A+ panel and Campbell's points. Last day to turn in is February 24th. Winners will be announced the following week.
Keep an eye out for the specially marked packages with bonus box tops!
 
Labels for Education Bonus!
Please sign up for e-Labels for Education. It is really easy to join! We will receive 200 Labels for Education Bonus Points for our school for each person that registers. We will earn bonus points every time you purchase participating Labels for Education products with your Giant Eagle Advantage Cards, our school will automatically receive 1 point for each item purchased.
