|FEBRUARY MEMBERSHIP MEETING |
The League of Women Voters of Trumbull County will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Howland Library, 9095 E. Market St.
Guest speaker will be Attorney Koula Glaros-King from Community Legal Aid Services Inc. Glaros-King will speak about United States citizenship, the process of naturalization and generally the avenues to lawful permanent residence under current laws.
This meeting is free and open to the public.
|NEW VOTING SITES FOR MAY PRIMARY |
Voters accustomed to voting at Grace United Methodist Church in Warren and at Champion High School will cast ballots in new locations in the next election.
The Trumbull County Board of Elections approved the moves after requests submitted by the church and the school, which is next door to the construction site of the new K-8 building and has security concerns.
The church requested the change because of a conflict with other events.
Warren precincts 1E, 7C and 7D now will vote at Warren First Assembly of God Church, 2640 Parkman Road NW. Voters in Champion precincts A, B, E and F now will vote at St. William Parish, 5431 Mahoning Ave. NW. Champion precinct K is being moved to the Champion Presbyterian Church.
The board will mail notices.

The League of Women Voters of Trumbull County is a nonpartisan political organization, which encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The League neither supports or opposes any political party or candidate. Membership is open to any person interested in educating oneself in or volunteering oneself in the community as representatives of the League of Women Voters.
All membership meetings are open to the public and meet on the 4th Monday of the month at different locations in the county. All meeting locations and times are published on our website and in all local medias, as well as on our FACEBOOK page at "LWV of Trumbull County, Ohio".
Your membership in the LWV of Trumbull County automatically gives you membership in the State League (LWV of Ohio) as well as the National League (LWV of the United States).

The LWV of Trumbull County will be sponsoring a Trumbull New Theater (TNT) production as a fundraiser to raise funds for the League's Education Committee.
Members will be selling tickets at $15.00 for the stage production of SENIOR FOLLIES. It is a comedy: Say what about? They say the rocking is not done in chairs at the Pleasant Valley Retirement Home, especially since Howard discovered "VIAGRA". A new resident seems to enjoy Howard's advances. She turns out to be a con artist intent on fleecing Howard with the help of her brother.
There will be snacks, wine, and beverages before the show included in your ticket. Intermission will see the desserts come out and onto the table. A basket raffle and a 50/50 will be available for all who wish to partake.
When will this be? Our night of laughter and fundraising will be on Thursday, May 10th. Doors will open at 6 pm with the curtain going up at 7 pm.

The LWV of Trumbull County holds membership in the following local organizations:
Trumbull County Township Association - Local government organization which is a part of the Ohio Township Association, a statewide organization dedicated to promoting and preserving township government in Ohio, through lobbying efforts and educational forums. The Association was founded on June 28, 1928, and is organized in 87 Ohio counties. The OTA has more than 5,200 active members, made up of trustees and fiscal officers from Ohio's 1,308 townships, and more than 4,000 associate members. comprised of township trustees, fiscal officers and various supporters.
GFWC Warren City Federation of Women's Clubs - The purpose of the Warren City Federation of Women's Clubs is to promote civic welfare through united club efforts and to afford facilities for helpful interchange of ideas and club programs, and to perpetuate and to advance the work of the Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs and General Federation of Women's Clubs.
Member Clubs include: American Association of University Women - Trumbull County, American Sewing Guild - Niles Chapter, Fifth Wheel, League of Women Voters of Trumbull County, St. Joseph Health Center Auxiliary, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Trumbull County Federation of Democratic Women, Trumbull Mobile Meals, Trumbull New Theater Women's Committee, Trumbull Travel Club, Warren Auxiliary VFW 1090, Warren Civic League, GFWC OHIO Warren Junior Women's League, Warren Republican Women's Club, Warren Women's Club, Women's History Committee and Upton Association.
