The League of Women Voters of Trumbull County will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Howland Library, 9095 E. Market St.

Guest speaker will be Attorney Koula Glaros-King from Community Legal Aid Services Inc. Glaros-King will speak about United States citizenship, the process of naturalization and generally the avenues to lawful permanent residence under current laws.

This meeting is free and open to the public.

Voters accustomed to voting at Grace United Methodist Church in Warren and at Champion High School will cast ballots in new locations in the next election.

The Trumbull County Board of Elections approved the moves after requests submitted by the church and the school, which is next door to the construction site of the new K-8 building and has security concerns.

The church requested the change because of a conflict with other events.

Warren precincts 1E, 7C and 7D now will vote at Warren First Assembly of God Church, 2640 Parkman Road NW. Voters in Champion precincts A, B, E and F now will vote at St. William Parish, 5431 Mahoning Ave. NW. Champion precinct K is being moved to the Champion Presbyterian Church.

The board will mail notices.

If you are uncertain as to which precinct you vote in, please go to the Trumbull County Board of Elections website at

All voters must be registered by April 9, 2018 by 9:00 p.m. to vote in the May 8, 2018 Primary Election.

 TNT Fundraiser
The LWV of Trumbull County will be sponsoring a Trumbull New Theater (TNT) production as a fundraiser to raise funds for the League's Education Committee.

Members will be selling tickets at $15.00 for the stage production of SENIOR FOLLIES. It is a comedy: Say what about? They say the rocking is not done in chairs at the Pleasant Valley Retirement Home, especially since Howard discovered "VIAGRA". A new resident seems to enjoy Howard's advances. She turns out to be a con artist intent on fleecing Howard with the help of her brother.

There will be snacks, wine, and beverages before the show included in your ticket. Intermission will see the desserts come out and onto the table. A basket raffle and a 50/50 will be available for all who wish to partake.

When will this be? Our night of laughter and fundraising will be on Thursday, May 10th. Doors will open at 6 pm with the curtain going up at 7 pm.

Mark your calendars today! For ticket information, call Peggy Boyd at 330-856-5398 or Sandy Mahaffey at 330-518-6927.
