McDonald Police

Message from the Chief

Chief of Police

The McDonald Police Department provides service 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Our department is comprised of 6 full-time and 7 part-time dedicated officers. We are currently dispatched by the Trumbull County 9-1-1 Center located in Howland Township. Our department is aggressively seeking Federal, State, and private grant monies for new programs and services that will be of benefit to our community. Grant money assists the department in implementing these programs without the expense of local tax dollars, while returning Federal and State tax money back into our community. Since 2002, our department has received nearly a quarter of a million dollars in grant money. I remain dedicated to the residents of McDonald by providing quality service protection now, as well as in the future.

Lou M. Ronghi
Village Police Chief
