Welcome to NOJWC.

Who we are...

Who… Founded in 1943, the North Olmsted Junior Women’s Club is a diverse group of women of all ages, who lead exciting and full lives, but want to return something to the North Olmsted Community.
Don't let the name fool you - everyone is welcome. We are wives, mothers and single women of all ages.

What… We have made a commitment to our community and to each other, knowing that through our volunteer and charitable offerings, we enhance not only our community but our personal lives as well. We offer opportunities for our members to volunteer their time and talents to worthwhile projects, we ask only that you do what you can, and participate as you are able to. Sometimes though, we get together just to socialize!

When… We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month, September through June. We begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. to keep the meeting timely to ensure there is sufficient time to socialize after the club business has been completed. We all lead busy lives and we appreciate the effort you put into attending the meetings and supporting our club activities.

Where… In the Meeting Room at North Olmsted Cabin Senior Center at North Olmsted Park. Visitors and guests are always welcome!

Why… One of the added benefits to our civic efforts include the creation of many meaningful and long lasting friendships with other North Olmsted women. We are proud of each other, support each other, respect each other and share a common sense of community.

How…We perform a variety of service-oriented projects throughout the year, just a few of the things we do are: Provide Easter baskets to our local children in need and their parents, * Special Adults Bowling and Pizza Party, Offer a Scholarship to a N.O. Adult woman to further her education, * Provide cards and stationary to housebound seniors, Plant the Flag of Flowers at North Olmsted Park, * Offer a Scholarship to a N.O. High School graduating senior, and Special projects for families in need in conjunction with the North Olmsted Department of Human Resources

How Fun…While our main purpose is community betterment, we aren’t above having a little fun. We hold a variety of social events, with and without your husband, throughout the year. We see plays, dine out, attend wine tasting events, hold recipe-exchange dinners and many other social activities.
Whatever your interests or inclinations, North Olmsted Junior Women has something for you! Our group is diverse but we all have one thing in common, the determination to make our community an even better place to live. You choose the time investment you make, a little or a lot, it’s up to you.
“It's a fun way to make new friends, learn about our community, and make a difference”
