The AT & Burr Oak Lake Campouts

The over 14 Patrol went to hike part of the Appalachian Trail

Nice shelter!

while the under 14 crowd explored Wildcat Hollow.

Sleepin' under the stars!

Even sleepin' on the picnic table all night

Everyone felt that way sometimes!

Spring Backpacking Campout

Gettin' everything ready

In April we held a two-tiered backpacking event at Tar Hollow State Park for our Troop. The newest members set up a base camp, took a day's hike, and camped there. The higher ranked Scouts went on an overnight hike using only what they carried in on their backs. (Essential stuff like self-heating hot chocolate.)The weather was about as good as you could ask for; it was so good we even could see Saturn at night! (No, not the car!)

Set up the dining fly first!

Fly like an Eagle Camporee The Weekend of October 8-10 found our Scouts, & Scouters, At Don Scott Airport learning about flying and for the first time, camping out on the Airport grounds. (However as you can see on the first page picture they wouldn't let us set up tents directly on the runway!)

Takeoff!

Where are we?

This is where the Orienteering MB would prove useful!

Summer Camp 2006

This turned out to be THE most common activity!

Archery was popular this year!

Rappelling!

See our fearless leader?
