I finally finished my purple hat. I covered this hat with the material well over a year ago. But I finally got inspired to finish it and it all started coming together. I think it turned out pretty good. I finished it down in WV and took it to share with the Strawberry Tarts too.
Nancy (Daisysue) saw my purple hat above and wanted one of her own to wear on her birthday month. So this is Nancy's hat, I added a bit of red on hers.
Here is another view of Nancy's hat. Since this is our 10th year, Decade of Sparkles, Nancy can wear her hat all year for this year.
This hat is probably here for only a short time. The material that it is made out of is very fragile and breaks very easy. I was wearing a navy blue top with sunflowers on the bottom, so I wanted a hat to match. I made a ring of sunflowers to go around the crown - that just lifts off and can go on another hat. Then I glued other sunflowers over some boo boo's that have already happened to the hat.
This is my Patriotic Red, White and Blue hat for the summer.
