WELCOME TO THE ST.BERNADETTE H&S WEBSITE.This area is for you the parent to keep informed and aware of what is happening during the 2008 - 2009 School year.
St. Bernadette H & S Association is our volunteer parent organization (much like PTO at other schools). We provide assistance to our school through volunteering in the classrooms, cafeteria, educational events, after school programs and fundraisers. We provide a monetary pledge yearly that funds the educational needs of our children. Our priority is OUR CHILDREN!
Thank you for a wonderful school year. We would like to recongize those 5th grade families who are moving on from our school with their youngest child(ren)'s graduation: Colopy Family, Darnell Family, Doner Family, Fernow Family,Genders Family, Heineman Family, Kilbarger Family, Papson Family, Sanford Family, Swisher Family, Wood Family and Carli Wright's Family. This class has a lot of families leaving us! We thank these families for their years of service to our school and wish them the best in the years to come.
We send best wishes to ALL our 5th grade students!
Thank you to Cindy Gilmore for hosting our end of the year wrap up. Also big THANK YOU for your work as home and school Co-chair. Cindy will be stepping down to concentrate on Mardi Gras.
Lenten Food drive was a big sucess. Thank you so much for sending in all the food. St. vincents was very happy!
Home and School's Blood Drive was a complete sucess (this time :-). Our goal was 17 and we collected 21. Thank you to all the volunteers and to the donators!
We have a calendar for Wednesday meetingsready for the next year.
August 20- Home and School Tea 8:05 in the Parish Hall
Sept, October, December,Jan, March and April meeting will be in the AM.
Nov, Feb and May will be PM meetings.

The MAGNETS are here. Please pick up an order form in the files outside the school office. They are smaller than the size on the back of the form. They are 1 for $8, 2 for $15 and 3 for $20. Thank you for supporting Home and School. Info about the magnets: please remove them before going through the car washes. It is good to not only clean behind them to prevent scratches but also so you will not lose them!

Mardi Gras:Cindy Gilmore
St. Bernadette H&S Assoc. has run a gift certificate fundraiser known as SCRIP for several years. This program allows you to earn money that will reduce your tuition cost. The program works by purchasing gift certificates at a discount through a broker. These certificates are used just like cash when shopping. The discount is then split between H&S and your family.
Scrip certificates are currently being sold after mass on weekends. SCRIP is also available in the school hallway outside of the main office. Orders must be placed on mondays before 8:30am in order for you to receive them by Wed. or thursday of that same week. Some certificates are kept in stock and can be filled immediately if Anne has them. Remember there is no outstanding cost to you with this program.
We always need volunteers to sell SCRIP after masses so feel free to let us know if you are available to do this!
Thank you to all the parents who helped out at Mardi Gras. Whether you baked, brought in pop, hung decorations, sold pizza, tallied bid sheets, set up the wonderful dinner, or even cleaned up YOU made the difference! Thank you! We could not of had such a great event without YOU!

Don't forget that you can always ask the teacher if they need anything for their rooms-- like right now clorox wipes and lysol would be a great idea.
