St Bernadette Home and School Meeting Minutes December 3 2008

Principals report -
*1 Outdoor security camera for playground will cost apprx $1200
*Terra Nova test result arrival is delayed until the first of the year
*25% decrease in state funding
*Holy day - Monday, St. Nick day will be Friday after lunch recess

New Business-
*Blood drive (Christina Warbington) - Wednesday, January 28th 1-6pm. Look for sign up in January and help a great cause! Volunteers will be needed for sign up, sign in and the snack table.
*Wish lists will be going up next week. Watch the hallways so you can get your favorite teacher exactly what she needs!
*In this time of financial hardship for the church the Home and School Association will give a gift of $3000 to the school. Ginny motions, Cindy 2nds, motion passed unanimously.
*Tuition emergency fund contribution, Ginny motions, Adria 2nds, motion passed unanimously.
*Melissa Burton brings recycled tire mulch for the playground to the agenda.

Old business -
*Honeybaked Ham Sale - End date Dec 8, Pick up Dec 19, 2-4pm
*Mardi Gras - One more meeting will be held before Mardi Gras. Thank you to Westerman's for a $300 donation!Activities include a juggler, mime, DJ, caricature artist , face painting, Wii for the kids to play that will be auctioned off in the Live Auction and of course the many wonderful auction items!
