St Bernadette Home and School Meeting Minutes March 3 2010

*Treasurer's Report - Milea Quaintance - Savings $8027.00, CD $6247.05
-Ginny motions to pay annual pledge of $10,000, Melissa seconds, motion passed

*Scrip-Sheryl Meyers-Scrip

• Adding more local vendors

• Adding more information to website, along with printable forms

• Grinders and Chief Cooker scrip no longer available

*Principal's Report-Pam Eltringham-

• Thank you to Home & School for sponsoring Mark Wade, the children had a wonderful time!

• Thank you card from Catholic Schools Gala committee for contribution towards one seat at the November gala

• Proceeds will allow for a large disbursement of tuition assistance to those families in need in Catholic schools, including St Bernadette

**New Business-

*Communication Survey - Kristin Gentile

• A survey will be sent home via kidmail Thursday, March 4 for families to convey their thoughts and suggestions as far as the school website and email communications.

• To be held at the beginning of May

• Kerry Sheridan-Boyd to chair event

• Detailed information to be sent home via kidmail

• Bowling with 5th grade St Bernadette and St Marys students to be held in March

• Ginny motions to split the cost of food with St Marys for the event, Kristin 2nds

• 5th grade retreat in May

• Great response, over 100 registration forms turned in so far

• Waitlisting for certain classes, information will be sent home via kidmail

• A meeting will be held in April to discuss content

• Possible questionnaire to go home asking what questions new families have that could be addressed

• Watch kidmail for the date St Bernadette will be participating in this event

**Old business -

*COSI on Wheels will be held Friday, March 5

• Contact Bridget Frazier or Tavie Conrad with any questions or to volunteer

• Grade 1 to take a field trip to Alley Park

• Grades 3 and 5 taking field trip to the Planetarium

• Grades 4 and 5 taking field trip to the Ohio Historical Center

• Sow bugs have been ordered for Angie Kerns enrichment program
