Treasurer’s Report - Milea Quaintance - $1000 given to Tuition Fund, $3000 gift paid to school, St. Nick donations down $100 contributed from Home and School
Principals Report – Pam Eltringham –
*Terra Nova testing information back and results will be sent home. The school is working with Battell to comprise more specific result information for each student. This information will not require extra testing, it will be drawn from test as is. This is called “value added” and is more specific to what each student learns the previous year.
*New Business*
*Sarah Hart concert in the church Friday January 23. $10 per ticket and proceeds go to Lauren Turner.
*Mini School will be starting the Friday after Mardi Gras! Watch for more information to come in the weekly newsletter and kidmail!
*Old Business*
*Blood Drive will be Wednesday, January 28th 1-6pm. Volunteers still needed! Please let Ginny Frank know if you are available to work ANY time. Thank you for your help!!
*Honeybaked Ham total sales were $5830.00. The school receives a portion of the profits. Thank you to everyone for your orders and efforts!
*Marlin Art is a fundraiser that is currently on the table. A chair is needed. If interested in learning more contact Cindy Gilmore.
*Catholic Schools week is coming up! Catholic Schools Mass will be Sunday, Jan.25 at 9am. Children are encouraged to wear their school uniforms. The Expressive Sign will perform. The family luncheon will be Tuesday the 27th. The Blood Drive will be Wednesday the 28th to help support the theme of Catholic Schools Week which is “Giving Back to the Community”.
**MARDI GRAS**
*There will be many exciting new additions to Mardi Gras this year! Along with the fun of games, crafts, the reverse raffle and movies there will also be a mime, Sparkles the clown tying balloon shapes, face painting and much more!!
*The auction process will be run a little differently. Everyone will register upon arrival and be assigned a number. This will be the number used to bid throughout the silent auction. 5-8pm will be the Childrens Silent Auction, 5-8:15 will be the Adult Silent Auction with checkout at 8:30 and the Main Live Auction (which will include the Classroom Creations) will begin at 8:30.
*300 meals will be available. Meal tickets may be purchased prior to the night of Mardi Gras.
*The next Mardi Gras meeting will be held Tuesday, January 20th at 7pm at Cindy Gilmore’s home.
*Volunteers still needed for ticket table at entrance. Let Cindy know if you are available for a shift from 6-7pm or 7-8pm.
