Summer Camp 2008: July 27 - August 2
For the last decade, Troop 28 has been going to Camp Manatoc for summer camp.
Camp Manatoc it in the Great Trails Council and part of the Manatoc Scout Reservation. The camp has a rich scouting history, dating back to 1923. Much information about the camp, it's programs, and it's history is available from the above link.
Clippers Campout - May 17, 2008
Dick's Sporting Goods presents the 9th annual Clippers Scout Campout on Saturday, May 17 (rain date - June 14). Tickets include pre-game autograph session, post-game movie, breakfast, baseball clinic, and camporee patch. Tickets must be purchased by May 7. Don't miss the final camporee at "The Coop"!
Scout Day at Ohio Village - May 18, 2008
Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers are all invited to the Ohio Village on Sunday, May 18 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a fun-filled afternoon especially for Scouts. Cost is $5.00 per person and the entire family is invited to come. The Historical Museum is included in the price. Scouts will have the opportunity to complete rank advancement requirements, earn belt loops, and work on merit badges. To register for this event or for more information, contact Susan Brouillette.
Scout Day at Rickenbacker - June 12, 2008
All Boy Scouts, Venturers, & Explorers who are in 7th-12th grade are invited to Scout Day at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base. Tour a KC-135 "Tanker" aircraft, hear from experts, meet pilots, and discover career opportunities.
Franklin County Fair
Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts have the opportunity to exhibit projects in the Boy Scout Booth of the Franklin County Fair this summer. Cub Scouts may enter projects made to earn achievements at each of the ranks and Boy Scouts may enter projects made to fulfill merit badge requirements. The Franklin County Fair runs from July 12 through July 19. Entry forms indicating categories a boy wishes to enter must be received by the Junior Fair Board by May 30.
