NEXT EVENT???

Jesus' return for His church is the next event on God's prophetic calendar!!

We must be about our Father's business of reaching our neighborhood and the world for Him! The Lord has been gracious and has given us this new facility for which we are grateful. But our aim must be to fill it with others who come to Him because of the love He shows through us. And the picture below is a good reason for doing so.

WHERE TWO OR THREE AGREE

David Reynolds and his group of volunteers came to us on 6/29/01 and basically put up our Worship Center and left on 7/29. John Shuler and the Missourians on Mission came to help as much as possible in completing the job. They started work on Monday 7/30, and worked until 8/3. We really experienced a miracle in that the building was up and ready for the Missourians in just three weeks! And what a job they did in the finish work!!

Marsha Lenevich put together a ground breaking ceremony which was a very emotional event. It was a joyous time, and if there were a few tears it was because we were celebrating a dream coming true.

After over eight years, the Lord has allowed us to build this new place where we may worship and serve Him.
But remember, the Church has been waiting for Jesus to come back for almost 2,000 years!!

HERE IS OUR NEW MURAL!

THIS IS BY STEUBENVILLE ARTIST DEAN MOSSOR AND IS HIS DEPICTION OF JESUS IN THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMENE.

THE BUILDING IS FINISHED!
Construction actually began on June 30. Dave Reynolds' group came and have gone, and then Rev. John Shuler and the Missourians on Mission were here to put on the finishing touches. Everyone was very busy, and made old Taz here look like a slow poke!

Any similarity between the character pictured above and Pastor Darrell or John Lenevich is purely coincidental!

  WHAT'S THE REASON?

Just what is the reason for our existence? We have a commission from our Savior, for He has made us all fishers of men.

Our visitation committee is active as we try to reach the community for Christ. But this cannot be left up to the Pastor and/or the visitation committee, for we all need to be about the business of witnessing.

Can you answer this question?

FYI-FYI-FYI-(IMPORTANT)FYI-FYI-FYI

First Presbyterian Church here in St. Clairsville graciously consented to let us use their facilities to feed the volunteer labor and we can not thank them enough for their generosity.

First Presbyterian Church of St. Clairsville

Our street address is 67300 Willow Grove Road and our insurance company has been advised of our plans

Lynn Zerkle (along with Rick and Dick Davis) from Faith Baptist in Belle Valley helped us with the excavating, and some men from Lighthouse Baptist in Vincent did the rough plumbing.

David Reynolds is based in Texas and he was here June 27 with a large contingent of his crew and the actual construction began. While Dave and a few others got things going right after they got here, Saturday 6/30 saw things really start to happen! We took pictures as the structure went up, but we almost needed a slow-motion camera to catch all the action.

Rev. John Shuler heads up "Missourians on Mission" and their group arrived July 28th, and worked through August 3rd.

Several other churches in our Association have helped tremendously. Men from Williams Creek Baptist Church in Williamstown WV installed our heating and air conditioning!!

We have had much, much activity in July because there were workers to do surveys, back yard Bible clubs, and just about everything necessary to not only get our Center up, but to see that all of St. Clairsville knew about it.

Tell all about it!!

It is impossible to adequately describe the work that has been done here. David Reynolds' group along with John Shuler's Missourians on Mission and ALL of the men and ladies have done such a wonderful job that it is truly beyond description. You must see it to fully understand and appreciate what I mean.

PLEASE NOTE

Please allow me to make a comment as to the work that has already been finished, and no one is in a better position to know how it got done. The answer can be summed up in two words--JOHN LENEVICH. No one else knows the time and effort that John has put into the finish details of this building. Just let me say that time after time when problems would arise and work would have to be done or even re-done, John simply went about the business of doing it. Although he may have had his mind made up on the way things should be done, although we may feel that things could have been handled differently, (and perhaps better), and although we may have become somewhat irritated, we should ALL be thankful that we had John to do the things he has done. Believe me, if not for John we would still be working on this building through 2002. In case you don't recall, work actually started on this project on 4/9/2001. That is over 7 months ago, and with very few exceptions, John was on the job every day. Folks, with that kind of schedule, anyone would get a little testy at times, and John has done that. But we should all consider that no one has worked harder, and we should be a little forgiving and loving towards one who has worked so hard for us. Speaking as one who spent 8 years meeting in the garage, I thank God that I had the opportunity to work with John during the building program. He is a very special person and has risen to the occasion more than once. When Rodney left, John stepped in to help fill the gap and continued there until the job was done.

Please do not misunderstand. There are others who have worked hard, they have spent many days on the job, so John has not done it all himself. Nearly everyone in our small congregation has helped. Maggie, Willard, Darrell, Bob, Barb, Mike, Betty, Dale, Cheryl, Marge, Ed, Hilary, Dallas, Chris, Linda, Marsha, and others I'm sure. We appreciate them all, and their efforts should be noted. However, in my opinion, John has been tireless in his efforts, and it seems nothing was more important to him than getting this job done. (He did knock off early nearly every Friday, it seems there was always some sort of football game which he insisted on seeing).

We all should be aware of how the Lord has blessed us in this project. Well, it seems to me that in His incapacitating John, He gave us the person we needed, and gave John the time he needed, to do all this work for us and for the Lord.
