Treasurers’ Report

Cookie Dough
Discussed that switching to Market Day was a good move as we received a bonus of 1-2% for already being a Market Day customer, a participation bonus of 1%, and a prize bonus of $500.00
We made between $11,200-11,300
If we sign by February we receive a 1% bonus.
Spoke about moving cookie dough to either Spring or an earlier Fall time.
Book Room
Spoke about purchasing non-fiction books for the book room.

Spirit Store
Discussed putting a coffee mug in the store.
Teacher Appreciation
Discussed buying umbrellas this year.
Kindergarten Christmas Program
The program will take place on December 8, 2011.
Scanners
Discussed and approved buying scanners for all teachers grades K-4 after we research and decide which one we will be purchasing.
Picnic Tables
Discussed and approved buying two new picnic tables for the playground area.
Family Fun Night
We are looking for bigger ticket items for this year’s live auction (get-away, tickets etc.).
We will be sending a letter to the teachers about the silent auction.
Santa Breakfast: December 3, 2011
Kelly Congrove is the chair.
We will have Santa and the Train.
The money will be handled by Mandy, Julie, and Brad.
Tabitha Muse will be in charge of the microphone and Ashley Muse will assist with the prizes.
Parents will need to bring their own camera for pictures with Santa.
If you are helping at Santa Breakfast you need to be at the school at 8:30 a.m.
We need helpers for the event.
The list for door prizes was divided at the meeting.
Friday night Tara, Mandy, and Kelly will meet at 6p.m. to decorate.
Santa Shop
Discussed that the items for the shop should arrive within the next week.

*Back to School Night was paid for by the gift cards earned through Pennies for Patient’s.
*PVG already paid for and ordered the Kindergarten T-shirts.
Mr. Stump
*Spoke about revamping the quarterly assessments.
*Spoke about the Content Standards for 2014.
*Spoke about Kindergarten and First Grade teachers participating in county wide training on the new Content Standards; substitutes will be in these rooms. Second grade teachers will participate in this training in the Spring.
*Zane Trace Elementary was rated Effective on the State Report card missing Excellent by 3.7%.
*Spoke about in 2014 all kids have to pass the achievement test, which will probably be computerized.
*Spoke about the 48 hours of Dyslexia training some staff members participated in.
Miscellaneous
*Spoke about having a Spirit Store in the glass case to showcase our items that are for sale.
*Spoke about possibly having window decals and hair bows available.
*Spoke about having an order sheet available and then PVG filling the orders.
*T-shirt orders will go out in September.
*Copies for teachers:

*Kickoff is 9/29/11 with an assembly.
*Market Day will be our new company.
*There appears to be better prizes.
*The sale will last two weeks.
*Delivery is 11/9/11 @ 1:15 pm; we will need volunteers. The order is suppose to be pre-packaged. Pickup will be in the Latchkey room.

*We are looking into replacing Movie Night with another activity for the students.
