2018Officers.jpgWelcome to McAlester Oklahoma's First Volunteer organization

The sixty members of our club are volunteers in Pittsburg County. We have four departments within which we meet on a monthly basis. We have a Spring Banquet once a year to be sure we all know each other. We conduct business when needed and always have fun. Read about the departments below to see which one you would fit into.

Our 2018-2020 Officers shown are: Kathy Brod - President, Vicky Bolte - Vice-President, Michelle Priddle Secretary, Nancy Gates - Treasurer

Our guest speaker Jenny Virden, Special Agent OSBI presented information on Human Trafficking.

The Spring Banquet was held May 15, 2018 at St John's Parish Hall. The program was hosted by Cornerstone Creations and decorations were provided by Literary.

McAlester Fortnightly, a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Oklahoma (GFWC) and its members have enhanced the citizens and community of McAlester through their commitment to volunteer service programs for 114 years. GFWC members actively educate, advocate and engage in projects concerning the well-being of children since the early 1900s with prominent clubwomen such as Jane Addams and Julia Lathrop paving the way for the implementation of improved child labor and juvenile court laws. McAleser Fortnightly Club recognizes GFWC Advocates for April 2018 as Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Monthby donating their volunteer efforts and monetary donation to the Hope House, CASA, Youth Emergency Shelter and Domestic Violence Shelter in our area.
