Just A Thought!

"A Call To Wholeness"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luke 17:11-19:

11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's one thing to get healed, but what is it that makes us truly whole? It comes through the strength of character that equips us to say two vital words -- "Thank You." In thanksgiving, we demonstrate another level of maturity, class and dignity, and are in position to receive recognition and commendation from the Lord.

In His healing of the 10 lepers, our Lord was quick to note that the attitude of gratitude was manifested in the least likely person -- a Samaritan, an enemy of the Jews. So don't be intimidated when people feel that you are ineligible for the blessing. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. Respond to this "Call To Wholeness"!

PRAYER:

Father, we thank You for your goodness and mercy. You have given us so much to thank You for, beyond what we deserve or can even comprehend. Thank You for granting us insight into this key to the Kingdom. Reveal our hearts to us when we are tempted to walk in the spirit of ingratitude. Even now, we look to You for wholeness. Thank You for healing us and making us every whit whole. We bless and praise You, in Jesus' mighty Name we pray, Amen.
