Blanket Facts

You can help by becoming a "Blanketeer!" The blanket you donate will then be given to a deserving child, permanently. Or you may give a monetary donation.

Project Linus welcomes all styles of blankets...crocheted, knitted, quilted, fleece...you don't have to be an expert!

Blankets must be NEW, HOMEMADE and WASHABLE.

Elaborate or simple, they are beautiful to a child. We accept blankets in all sizes. We donate to children, infants through 18 years, so any size is appropriate.

1. Blankets must be well made, using new materials only.
2. Blankets may be any style, i.e. quilted, tied, crocheted, knitted and fleece.
3. Quilted blankets, or those made with fabric must include 3 layers: top, backing and batting.
4. Fleece blankets can be single or double thickness.
5. Blankets must be at least 36” x 45” or larger, up to twin size. Approximately 45” x 60” is the perfect size.

~~~Please remember to WASH your blankets. All blankets need to be free of any and all odors. Therefore, please wash your blankets in scent free detergent and softeners. Also, please remember to check your blankets for pins. Pins left in the blankets are dangerous to children! Thank you!
