Thank You ****Thank you to Archer Printing for donating their time and materials to make our Chapter Labels. A thank you note: On June 12, my 11-month-old son was admitted to Baptist Hospital PICU with a high fever and seizures. Since we had left the doctor's office and arrived at the hospital in such a rush, we didn't grab the comfort items, such as his PJs, toys or blanket. We only had a few diapers in his bag, a bottle and wipes. After a very long day of tests and procedures, he was exhausted and so were we. We were in the PICU, getting him to settle down for the night, and the nurse brought us a blanket from Project Linus. I was already familiar with Project Linus, since I work for DHS here in Oklahoma. I know that many of the blankets that are made are shared with children who are in state custody. As a parent, you never imagine your child will be in the intensive care unit, but I was so relieved and touched that someone was thinking about him. Receiving that blanket really brought it home for me, the work that your organization does and how it makes a difference to a child and to the child's family. Fortunately, my son's condition was brought under control and he was discharged on June 14. He is again the happy and healthy baby we know, taking some medication for the short-term but he's expected to recover with no long-term problems. --Mary Thank you again to the Oklahoma Project Linus members for the work that you do. Know that you are making a difference in the lives of so many children and their families. We will treasure our quilt forever! You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
