June 25th - The guest speaker will be Robert R. Tiernan, Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party. Tiernan was elected Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party on January 10, 2009 at the Party's Biennial Organizational Meeting in Lake Oswego, OR. Tiernan has served as counsel to a variety of employers, including the Federal Government, large Portland area law firm, large Oregon Corporations and a small private Oregon law firm. He served as a Commander, United States Navy Reserve, Intelligence Officer. Tiernan holds a Masters in Labor Law, Georgetown University of Law, 1983; Jurist Doctorate, Seattle University School of Law, 1980; Bachelor of Science, Oregon State University, 1977.
Also appearing will be Jane Stroud, our current Lt Govenor.
Our annual volunteer opportunity for the Covered Bridge Bike Tour is coming up August 9th. Same time and place as last year. Sign up list to go around soon. Put it on your calendars now.

The Takena Kiwanis Club is conducting their annual Berry Sale Fundraiser. If you like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, boysenberries or marionberries click the link to Takena Kiwanis in the links section over on the left side of the screen for more information and order forms.
The Kiwanis Club of Albany meets every Thursday at noon. We normally meet at Pop's Branding Iron Restaurant located at 901 Pacific Blvd SE in Albany. But this Thursday, the 18th, we will be meeting at Novak's in the shopping area across from Target (Near the old GI Joes store.)
