Guidelines on Letters

Here are a couple of thoughts about the content of the notes and letters:

First, introduce yourself and tell brothers or sisters in Christ that you are thinking about them. You may even want to share your own Christian testimony. Who knows who will be reading the card?

It is entirely discretionary as to whether or not you include your own address.

Express a note of encouragement, like "I pray for you and hope that the authorities who have imprisoned you realize that Christians make good citizens because we are told to respect authority and pay taxes. We pray for you as well as the authorities in your country and pray for their blessing and salvation."

Of course, word it yourself, but you get the idea. God Bless You!

GREAT IDEA: DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR CHRISTMAS CARDS!

Here's an idea: Don't throw away your Christmas cards! Use them as postcards to send to prisoners for Christ. Ask your congregation to bring in the Christmas cards at the end of the season, rather than throwing them away.
Then, clip off the covers and use them as postcards.

Christian-themed cards can sometimes be used all year round.
