All meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month and at the Albany City Hall, 333 Broadalbin Street SW, Albany and lunch is brown bag unless otherwise indicated.

    • March 14, 2013--Meeting / Office Team "How to go from Unsung Hero to Superhero". Meet in the Calapooia Room - Program will be at 11:30 AM for this meeting only.

    • April 11, 2013--Nominations of Chapter Officers/Program (TBD)

    • April 25, 2013--Administrative Professionals' Week Seminar, Linn-Benton Community College.

    • May 9, 2013--Election of Chapter Officers. The Invisible Promotion presented by Tari Hayes, CAP-OM.

      Instead of begrudging the new responsibilities and tasks youve been assigned, use them to upgrade your career rewrite your job description and think big.

      The game has changed! Everyone needs to assess their current worth to their employer. Instead of relying on what youve done in the past, you must focus on what you can do to help the organization thrive in the future. Learn how you can take your invisible promotion and turn it into something that will make your employer sit up and take notice of your unique skills and valuable contributions.

    • June 13, 2013--Installation of Chapter Officers/Picnic (TBD)

    • July 11, 2013--Succession Planning and Career Development presented by Jo Ann Yonemura

      Prepare yourself and others for future roles within the organization by keeping job descriptions up to date, using the mentoring process, and planning for your professional development.

      Succession planning is one of the last things people and organizations think about when, in fact, it should be one of the first. In this session, you will learn how career development discussions, updated job descriptions, effective Learning Management Systems, mentoring and other processes can help prepare someone to take over your duties so that you move into more responsible positions and advance your career.

    • November 8, 2012--Professional Work Portfolio presented by Diana Eiler, CAP-OM.

      Diana will demonstrate how to create your professional work portfolio. This portfolio is a wonderful resource to have ready for your annual review. For those job seeking, this portfolio is an impressive addition when interviewing and can showcase your expertise as an administrative professional!
