DIVISION 72: NEWSLETTER April 2007 DIVISION 72: NEWSLETTER 3/7/07 ROUND ROBIN REQUIREMENT Adopted 10/31/04: if a club has less than 20 members, 2 members will constitute an interclub. Visiting Kiwanis sponsored clubs; as Key Club, CKI (or Circle K), Builder’s Club, will count as an official interclub. To receive a Round Robin the club must achieve a minimum of 24 interclubs per year with a minimum of 1 visit per club in the visiting club’s division. Zone Conference provides opportunity to achieve two interclub credits: one for the morning opening session and one for the luncheon meeting. DIVISION 72 HAS A WEBSITE! THANKS TO JIM TOLBERT, ALBANY KIWANIS , DIVISION 72 HAS A WEBSITE: http://www.orgsites.com/or/kiwanisdiv72. Lt. Governor, Jane, will put information upon the website that will be useful to other clubs or divisions wishing to contact us. Jim created the website and then traveled to Jane’s home on March 6, and explained and assisted her in entering information upon the site. Thanks to Rita, Jim’s wife who also visited, for being patient while Jim was teaching Jane. Now, let’s see how well Jane has learned! 2007 PROPOSED PNW DISTRICTAND ZONE RE-ALIGNMENT Division 72 has been aligned with Divisions 74 and 76 in Zone J for the past years. This area included the South Willamette Valley to Grants Pass and over to Gold Beach on the coast. There is a proposal to realign Division 72 to Zone L. This area would include Division 68: Dallas, Lincoln City, McMinnville, Newberg, Waldport, Walnut City, Willamina; and Division 70: Canby,French Prairie, Molalla, Salem, Silverton, Stayton, Salem, West Salem, Wilsonville and Woodburn. This would take effect 2008-09 . 2007 Zone Conference: April 21, 2007. At present time the Oakridge, Albany, Springfield, Coos Bay, Sweet Home and Eugene clubs have members signed up for the Zone conference to be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 S 7th Street; Cottage Grove, Oregon. The time for the conference will be 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Please get your enrollment forms to Jane Strom; P.O. Box 720; Foster, Oregon 97345 as soon as possible.
