![]() I would like to welcome you to the Klamath County Republican Women's website. This has been a busy year for our club. Here is what we have been doing: We have manned a booth at two different fairs helping our Central Committee. We also have a committee called: Support Our Troops which is the most worked on committee we have. We have sent over 60 care boxes to our troops plus we make sure some of us are at the airport every time a soldier leaves or comes home. We also collect old cell phones to send away so that soldiers will have phone cards to call home. Caring for America is another very important committee. We collect calendars for our Veterans and give them to the Domiciliary in White City. We collect ink cartridges, can tabs, clothes, eye glasses, and items for the Gospel Missions crisis center. Our "Adopt a Highway" project allows us to clean a portion of one of our highways every 6 months which turns out to be a fun time of fellowship plus that portion looks really good. We have an annual fundraiser that allows us to give a $1000.00 scholarship to a Republican student from one of our two colleges. During elections we are manning the Republican Headquarters and helping with the phone banks. Our club is an energetic fun organization and we welcome all new perspective members. Officers: Vicki Switzer, President Laura Spendolini, 1st. VP Amanda Blodgett, 2nd. VP Jann Garee, 3rd. VP Terrie Mumford, Secretary Susan Prochaska, Treasurer

We meet the first Monday of every month at Dynasty Restaurant, 106 Main St. at 5:00 PM We have a no host dinner beginning at 5pm and our meeting starts at 6pm. Our club has between 70-80 members which includes our associates (husbands of our members.) Our annual fundraiser provides us the money needed for our $1000.00 scholarship given to a young Republican college student. We also have a very active "Support the Troops" committee which is one of the favorites among our members. We have been able send many boxes of "treats" and gifts to our service men and women serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other areas in our world. |
One of ourcommunity service projects is "Adopt a Highway." We also collect calendars for our Veterans in White City , Oregon. "Caring for America" is another very active committee we are at part of. We also help our Transition Home, a place for women and children. here in Klamath Falls. Our club is a very fun and energetic organization and we welcome all new perspective members to come and visit us.
