WSC is unique in the Tualatin Valley, being the only non-profit, multi-purpose facility dedicated to the support of 12-step based recovery programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Alanon, Alateen, and Adult Children of Alcoholics. WSC provides space for over 150 12-step recovery meetings each month including Christ centered and Spanish language meetings, clean and sober activities 365 days per year, referral service for addicts, alcoholics, and their families, supervised adult and youth activities, recovery workshops, low cost educational literature, and more. We have also partnered with Care To Share to provide limited outreach programs for the less fortunate in our community such as weekly bread and bakery goods distribution, annual Thanksgiving and Christmas potluck dinners, annual Children's Christmas Party, and more. In executing these activities, WSC provides a clean, safe, and sober environment respecting the confidentiality and needs of each patron, where the individual working on recovery can learn appropriate social and living skills without the use of alcohol and drugs. The leaders in the WSC organization are men and women who are committed to living their lives in sobriety. In their individual recovery, these respected leaders use the WSC facility as a base to re-educate the recently clean and sober individuals in the values of citizenship and responsibility, and help them learn the life skills necessary to re-enter society as a clean, sober, productive human being. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
