Welcome Bucks County Administrative Professionals !

Are you an Administrative Assistant, Secretary, Office Manager, Clerk or Administrative Specialist? Then you are an Administrative Professional!

The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) defines an administrative professional as an individual who possesses a mastery of office skills, demonstrates the ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercises initiative and judgment, and makes decisions within the scope of assigned authority.

IAAP is the world's largest association for administrative support staff with nearly 700 chapters and 40,000 members and affiliates worldwide. There are 22 Chapters in Pennsylvania including five in the greater Philadelphia area: Bucks County (Southampton), Montgomery County (Conshohocken), Rohm and Haas Delaware Valley, Wyeth, and the Liberty Bell chapter in center city Philadelphia.

The Bucks County Chapter offers educational seminars, training, and networking opportunities to all administrative professionals who live or work in Bucks County.

Come Join Us!

The Bucks County Chapter invites you to join us as a guest for an upcoming meeting. Monthly business meetings for the year 2008-2009 are being held every second Tuesday of the month from 6 to 8PM from September through June at Bertucci's on County Line Road in Huntington Valley. The meeting includes dinner, an educational program and a brief business meeting. Advanced reservations are required - link at the bottom of this page to Alice Ivers CPS.

Professional Certification

The Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) and Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) ratings are the internationally recognized standard of proficiency as an administrative professional. The rating is obtained by completing and verifying education and employment experience requirements, and passing either a three day one part exam or a four-part, two-day examination on the following areas: finance and business law, office systems and administration, management and organizational planning. The CPS/CAP Testing Center for Bucks County is the Warminster Recreation Center on Little Lane in Warminster. If you would like more information about professional certification, go to the Links section on the left and select Professional Certification.
