1/25/09 At 1635 hours, Box 19-3, Company 19 and Brush 29 dispatched for a brush fire behind 126 Sheetz Road. B29 responded at 1638 and C19(Warfel) responded at 1640. C19 arrived in the area and reported the fire to be at 291 Dimpsey Rd.(Box 29-3) with 1/4 acre involved. Units arrived and kept the fire from spreading any further. Units available at 1720.

5/17/09 At 1732 hours,Box 19-3, Co. 19 and Engine-Rescue 29-1 dispatched for an ATV accident at 125 Oak Ridge Drive. Chief 19(Warfel) responded to find an ATV with two passengers over the embankment. Patient #1 had self extricated and patient #2 was still sitting on the ATV. Engine 19-1 arrived and began patient care. Engine 29-1 arrived along with EMS company 13 and 6. Engine 29-1 than handled the LZ for Life Lion for patient #2. Units cleared 1819 hours.

8/24/09 At 08:51 hours,Box 19-1,Company 19,Truck 22(Lykens),Company 216, were dispatched for a reported structure fire at 3673 Back Road in Jefferson Twp. From the caller, flames were visible, so Dauphin County upgraded the alarm, which added Company 21 and 29. Engine 19 arrived at 09:04.Units found a well involved trailor and began fire attack.Other units arrived shortly after. Control was made and units cleared the scene at 1204. The fire displaced two, and Red Cross is assisting.




12/1/09, Approximately 1721 hours,Box 19-3, Co. 19 and Truck 22(Lykens)were dispatched to 75 Small Valley Road for an automatic fire alarm. At 1729 hours, Chief 19(Warfel) arrived on the scene and found the alarm had been set off by cooking.Units placed available.Units cleared by 1732 hours.

03/22/10 At 20:49 hours, Companys 19,29(Halifax), and Truck 22(Lykens),and EMS Co. 6 were dispatched to 1601-B Mountain House Road for a structure fire. Chief 19 (D. Warfel) asked for the 1st Alarm when advised by County of multiple 911 calls. This added Companies 21 and 216 to the box. Engine 19-1 responded with 2, Tanker 19 responded with 2.Chief Warfel had command and arrived to find a two story bi-level wood frame home.Engine 19-1 layed 800' of 5" supply line back the driveway to the house with Engine/Rescue 29-1 supplying from the dump tank. The report was of a fire in a wood burning stove that spread to the wall of the house. Fire damage was limited to the 2nd floor on the "B" side of the structure and salvage operations were performed on both floors. Two attack lines pulled. Companies out 2 1/2 hours. The fire displaced two.

4/1/10, Approximately 1535 hours,Box 29-3, Co. 29 and Brush 19 dispatched to stand by in station and than were dispatched to the Joseph Ibberson Conservation Area(DCNR-State Parks) on Back Road for a mountain fire. Brush 19 responded to the scene with 3 at 1600 hours and arrived on the scene at 1613.Units made their way to the top of Peters Mountain in the area of the Appalachian Trail. Personnel assisted Co. 29 with leafblowers and handtools to establish a control line around the fire. 1.8 acres burned. Units out until 1954 hours.>>

4/6/10, Approximately 1352 hours,Box 19-1, Cos. 19 and Brush 23(Wiconisco)were dispatched to the area of Back Road and Carsonville Road for an outside fire/natural cover fire. Units arrived in the area and found nothing evident. Further investigation determined that the caller saw the smoke column from a prescribed burn at Fort Indiantown Gap Military Installation, which is almost directly south of Carsonville. Units placed available at 1315 hours.

04/23/10 At 21:48 hours, Companys 19,29(Halifax), and Truck 22(Lykens)were dispatched to 127 Sheetz Road for a structure fire. Chief 19 (D. Warfel) responded and was than advised by Dauphin County that it was a commercial structure fire in a garage and they were upgrading the box. This added Companies 21,216, and Tanker 20 (Millersburg)to the box. Engine 19-1 responded with 3, Engine 19 with 1 and Tanker 19 responded.Chief Warfel had command and arrived to find a well involved 40' x 60' garage with fire from the eaves on the A/B corner.Engine 19-1 layed 5" supply line back the driveway,with Engine 19 supplying from Engine/Rescue 29-1 supplying from the dump tank. Two 1 3/4" attack lines pulled with approximately 3500 gallons of water used. Control was quick, however the building and contents were a total loss. Units out until 0104 hours with the fire under investigation by PSP Fire Marshal.

6/25/10 At 1934 hours,Box 19-3, Co. 19 and Engine-Rescue 29-1 dispatched for an ATV accident at 3247 Back Road. Engine-Rescue 29-1 responded at 1937 and Chief 19(Warfel)and Engine 19-1 with six firefighters responded at 1938.Brush 19 responded with two personnel at 1941.Units arrived to find a single patient that had struck a tree with his ATV. The patient was treated, packaged, and transported to the landing zone, handled by Brush 19, to meet Life Lion helicopter. Units available at 2023 hours.

7/14/10 At 1140 hours,Box 19-4, Co. 19 was dispatched to 6487 Powell's Valley Road in the area of the "Handboard" for a non-injury auto accident. Engine 19-1 responded with 3 and arrived to find a single vehicle that had failed to negotiate a turn and went airborne after striking the bank along the road.The vehicle came to rest upright in the woods and struck a few small trees. Crew performed fluid checks and stood by onscene until the wrecker arrived and removed the vehicle.

> 8/22/10 At 1026 hours,Box 19-4, Co. 19 was dispatched to 6400 block of Powell's Valley Road in the area of the "Smoke Hole Camps" for a medical assist for two class 1 patients. Brush 19 responded with 4 and arrived to find an infant havings seizures and an adult male who was compaining of dizzy spells. Due to the long dirt driveway, Brush 19 transported both patients to the "hard road" to the awaiting ambulances from Company 6. Units out approximately 1 hour.

12/6/2010 At 1518 hours, Co. 19 was dispatched to assist on Box 216-1, for a residential structure. Engine 19-1 and Tanker 19 responded. E19-1 was placed available, and T19 responded to the scene.Tanker stood by onscene, until released by command.

12/20/10 At 04:19 hours Companies 19 (Carsonville), 29 (Halifax), Truck 22 (Lykens) and 6 (Medic 6) were dispatched to Box 19-1, 3943 Powells Valley Road, Jefferson Township for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Chief 19-1 (D. Osman) arrived on scene with a well involved home.This added Companies 216 (Fisherville)and 21 (Elizabethville)to the box.As E19 was making access through a field, (Driveway was not accessible, due to being too narrow),The crew from Brush 19 began initial attack and primary search. Immediately upon entry, a victim was located.As Truck 22 arrived, their crew assisted the Brush crew with removal of the victim. E19 was supplied by E29-1, who was supplied from the dump site by E22, through an 1800' large diameter hose lay. E29 had the tanker fill site, at the dry hydrant on White Oak Road. Perry Tanker 9(New Buffalo)transferred to Sta. 216, and E37 transferred to Sta. 29. These units were later brought to the scene to assist with water supply and overhaul.Units were out for approx. 6 hours.



03/28/11 At 01:54 hours Box 216-3 was dispatched to the rear of 492 Harman Road for an outside fire. One minute after this dispatch county communications re-dispatched this as a reported house fire. Chief 29-1 (T. Pottiger) went enroute with a glow visible from his house.Chief 216-2 (D. Faust) also went enroute and requested that the 1st alarm be dispatched. This call saw units from Companies 29 (Halifax), 19 (Carsonville), 21 (Elizabethville), 20 (Millersburg) and 26 (Berrysburg) dispatched to the scene. Engine 19-1 responded with 4, Brush 19 with 2 and Tanker 19 responded with 1. Engine 21 was the first engine in and laid 5" from the hard road back the driveway. Engine 19-1 was next in and laid 5" down the road and drafted from the pond along the hard road.
