Help
Become a Blanketeer - Make and donate a blanket. We welcome all types, crocheted or knitted, cotton or fleece. Blankets must be made of NEW washable materials. Our preferred size blanket is 45" by 60". We also appreciate larger blankets for older teenagers. If quilts are tied the ties should be no more than 6 inches apart. Please use embroidery or crochet cotton, not yarn. When you make fleece blankets, please cut off the heavy selvage edges before doing anything with the fleece. As of right now, we are not accepting the double tied fleece blankets. We have an over abundant supply of them, and most hospitals do not want them because they are too heavy and can stir up too much dust. *Please note that we cannot accept blankets made in a smoking environment. Also, if you have pets, please be sure to remove all pet hair from the blankets.*

Blankets can be dropped off at any time at the East and West Shore Discount Vacuum & Sewing Centers located in the Union Square Shopping Center and the Gateway Square Shopping Center.

Other than donating blankets, there are many other ways you can help Project Linus!  For instance:

Volunteer- We welcome people to help with our meetings which are generally held 2 Thursdays of every month. Activities include sewing and layering quilts, sewing labels, tieing blankets, etc. For our exact scheduling, please check our Upcoming Events page.

Donate supplies - Fabric, yarn, thread, batting, thank you notes, postage stamps, paper, gift certificates to craft or office supply stores, etc. are gladly accepted and appreciated.

Tax-Deductible Contributions - Monetary contributions help defray the costs of our volunteer effort.

Spread the Word - Please help us let people know about Project Linus.  Individuals and groups are welcome.  You really can make a difference in a child's life!
