Thank You
We receive many wonderful thank-you notes and emails from the family of the children that receive one of our blankets. Here are just a few examples.

8 December 2005

My apologies for being so late thanking you. In the fall my 6 year-old son had a nephrology appointment at Hershey Medical Center. They gave him one of the great quilts that you had made. The one with bright footballs. He loves it. Thnak you so much for your lovely gift.

I just wanted to thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. You'll never know how much it meant to us to have a warm quilt to keep our 17 month old daughter warm while she was in the hospital. We arrived late on a Saturday night at the Harrisburg Hospital ER with our daughter who was running a very high fever. We thought that we would be assured there was nothing serious and sent home. That was not the case. She was admitted and we spent a few scary days in the pediatric wing. We were completely unprepared for a stay and didn't have toys or a familiar soft blanket from home. I wanted you to know how truly special it was for her to have a nice, warm quilt to snuggle up to while she was in a strange and scary place. Just the mere gesture of someone thinking of the possibility that a child would take comfort from a warm quilt brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you so much. You helped make a scary time more comforting.
I appreciate being able to send a thanks and knowing where the quilts came from.. Great idea to tag the quilts and identify your group and the hands responsible for spreading warmth. You have truly touched our family.
Special thanks to Karen for the warm, fuzzy, purple blanket - Audrey loves it, as she is a "Linus" herself. It has quickly become one of her favorites to tote around.
Many thanks and keep up the great project!!!
Sincerely,

Amanda, Jason and Audrey

Dear Ann,
I got your name from the tag attached to the quilt given to my daughter at Harrisburg Hospitals Pediatric Unit a couple of weeks ago. My daughter Morgan is 12 and suddenly became very ill with "Viral Pneumonia". She spent 6 days on the Pediatric unit and was a pretty sick puppy for most of her stay. On the 2nd or 3rd day of her stay a nurse said Oh, didn't anyone get you a quilt? She brought in this lovely quilt which brought a lot of comfort to both Morgan and her mother and I. Much like Linus, at least while in bed there was no other cover that was acceptable to Morgan. For me it warmed my heart as much as it kept her comfortable. I guess to make a long story short I just wanted to thank you and let you know how you touched our hearts. If you should ever need assistance in making or distributing you quilts please contact Morgan and I, we would be very pleased to assist.
Thanks again

I would like to thank you for the great blanket that was given to me at the Harrisburg Hospital. I felt a lot better when I got the blanket from you. It reminded me of days when I was happy. The blanket you made took all of my troubles away. I wasn’t worried about getting blood taken at all. I am sending this letter to you to tell you that your great work is appreciated by me and many others.

Your friend, Cody
